Patrice Lanquetin
I focus on personal exploration and creativity, including writing, design, and sharing accessible explanations of complex ideas. I believe in simplicity, clarity, and curiosity as core values.
I founded in 1986, a civil engeneering company "Cabinet Patrice Lanquetin" which become Lanquetin & Associés in 2017. After decades of dedication and innovation, I successfully passed my business on in 2024.
A graduate of the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM) and holder of the D.P.L.G., I have always believed that the key to success lies in valuing both people and purpose. My commitment to employees and clients alike shaped the culture of the company over the years.
My passion has long centered on integrating emerging technologies to improve data acquisition accuracy and streamline processing. These efforts helped revolutionize 2D surveying methods and contributed to developing 3D building models within the BIM framework.
I have been a member of the UNGE (Union Nationale des Géomètres-Experts), which supports and advocates for the legal, economic, and social interests of surveyors in France. I served on its Employment and Training working group until 2024, helping to shape and implement professional training across the field.
Between 2019 and 2024, I helped create three MOOCs modules to support continuing education in the profession:
- The Taxation of Real Estate Projects (2019)
- Understanding the Local Urban Plan (2021)
- The Environmental Approach to Development Projects (2023)
From 2017 to 2024, I also served on the editorial board of the professional monthly magazine Géomètre.
I have also been a member of the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), a global professional body that promotes and enforces the highest standards in land, property, infrastructure, and construction.
I’ve always believed in working differently: building strong relationships, adopting innovative methods, and helping people — individuals and professionals alike — realize their projects with the best possible outcome.
By embracing diversity while upholding equality, I strive to support others in achieving their objectives.
Outside of professional life, I began learning to fly at the club Les Ailerons. My first solo flight was on April 3, 2019 — a personal milestone that remains close to my heart.
I love to run and have completed many half marathons and three marathons.
